WiFi6 and WiFi6E 4×4 MU-MIMO QCN90X4 Dual Band WiFi Module

mini PCIe usually uses the PCIe x 1 bus. The speed varies according to the platform. The common PCIe 3.0 x 1 speed is 0.985 GB/s, and the conversion rule is 10 MBPS =1.25MB/s.

mini PCIe to SATA

A mini pcie interface is defined with a SATA interface. Therefore, the mini pcie interface is not supported. However, only one SATA interface can be extended.

There are two kinds of chip conversion: half-height size and full-height size. Xiangshuo ASM1061 chip is generally used. It supports mini PCIe to dual SATA3 interface.

Industrial tablet computer or industrial computer, will be equipped with wireless device this interface. MiniPCIe is based on PCI-E bus, which can expand peripheral devices for industrial control all-in-ones, such as Bluetooth module, 4G module, and solid-state disk with MiniPCIe interface of wireless NIC module. However, the bandwidth of MiniPCIe interface is not high, so it is suitable for peripheral devices that do not have high data throughput requirements. Some motherboards have multiple MiniPCIe ports inside. In addition to the built-in wireless network card, at least one more is reserved for the 4G module (and the antenna is embedded). Although the two interfaces are common, but there are “half high card” and “full high card” difference.

DR9074E based on QCN90X4 Chipset is an enterprise wireless module integrated with 4×4 MU-MIMO Dual Band Wireless Module designed specifically to provide users with mobile access to high-bandwidth video streaming, voice, and data transmission for office and challenging RF environment in factories, warehouses establishment. 

PCIe, short for PCI Express, is a new-generation bus interface. It is a new technical specification jointly drafted and completed by more than 20 leading companies in the industry. By using point-to-point serial connection, it can increase the data transmission rate to a high frequency, so as to provide higher bandwidth.

PCI Express interfaces can be classified into X1, X4, X8, and X16 according to the bus bit width. At present, PCIe X4 is widely used, and PCIe 2.0 and 3.0 versions are widely circulating in the market. The corresponding X4 bandwidth is 16Gbps/32Gbps, which translates into a transmission rate of about 2GB/s and 3.93GB/s. Compared with SATA interface, this is a very scary rate.

On the other hand, solid-state drives with PCIe interfaces are relatively expensive.
